SD and SDHC support (and backwards compatible with MMC). Capacity beyond 4
GiB can be used as extra 'virtual' flash cards called 'areas' (selectable with
a *-command), allowing you to 'split catalogues' (e.g. one area for discs, one
for tapes).
1 MiB flash ROM on board, harbouring the GoSDC ROM, all the filing systems,
and all the tools. I.e. there's no longer any need to put filing systems and
tools on the flash card. They're always there.
A few small, new hardware features, like card detection and write
protection via the SD socket switches, and auto-detect of GoSDC ROM slots.
Software updates via a FAT formatted flash card. Simply copy the update
file to it, e.g. on your PC. Then insert the card into GoSDC, and run the
software update tool.
Comes in two versions, one compatible with BBC model B, BBC Master and
Electron (a.k.a. the 'MBE' version), and one that should be compatible with
practically *any* 8-bit Acorn machine, but has lower write performance (a.k.a.
the 'UNI' version).
